Solar showers
Solar showers offer you ideal refreshment and cooling on hot days. In addition, our outdoor showers are energy-efficient, as they heat the water only thanks to the power of the sun. If you shower before bathing, you will bring less dirt into the pool. As a result, you also need fewer water care products for crystal-clear pool water. Our garden showers not only convince with an elegant design, they are also a small wellness oasis in your own garden.

Frequently asked questions for Solar showers:
Try to seal the connections with Teflon tape.
The connections will be damaged if tools are used, so please assemble the parts hand tight. The screw connection is already tight before it is completely screwed in. This allows
correct positioning, so that the shower head points downwards. If screw connections are not tight or the position is not correct, wrap the thread with Teflon tape.
The entire body of the shower is filled with water and works similarly to an electric boiler, where the heated water also collects at the top. When hot water is needed, cold water is let in by operating the faucet at the bottom of the tank, and the hot water already heated in the upper part is pressed out of the tank. After closing the faucet, the water from the shower head is still running. This circumstance is due to the heating of the water in the unpressurized tank and causes the dripping of the shower head. This is not a defect! A 3-4 minute after-dripping is therefore possible. If your shower drips longer or more strongly, please contact our helpdesk.
No, the shower is not frost-proof. Please disassemble the shower and remove all water from the pipes and the tank as soon as the outside temperature drops below 10 ° C. The shower must be stored in a dry, frost-proof room.
It is technically unavoidable for limescale to precipitate in the tank, which can block the shower head.
The shower head can become blocked by limescale. To avoid damage, the shower head must be
should be checked regularly and cleaned if necessary. This is necessary at the latest when the flow rate from the shower head is significantly reduced.
Procedure:
- Dismantle the shower head
- Rinse out the tank by operating the shower without the shower head for approx. 2 minutes
- Descale the shower head with a commercially available bath cleaner
- Install the shower head
Solar garden shower
The use of an outdoor shower is a simple and effective measure to prevent coarse dirt from outside, such as leaves, but also microscopic contaminants such as bacteria on the skin from being involuntarily taken into the pool. The bacteria on the skin are released into the pool water by the bathers, which results in an increased need for chemical cleaning agents - especially disinfectants - for water treatment. Showering is also recommended after bathing to wash the chlorine and other chemical agents from the skin.
You do not need electricity for the solar shower, which uses the power of the sun and is therefore environmentally friendly as well as reducing costs. The tank of the solar shower is simply filled with the garden hose and the solar shower heats the filled cold water. Self-decalcifying shower heads minimise the cleaning effort of the solar shower. Water naturally contains lime and the higher the degree of hardness, the more lime it contains. Since limescale deposits attack the material, the self-descaling function saves you money and increases the service life of the solar shower.
The perfect location for a solar shower
To ensure the best possible stability and your safety, the solar shower should be installed on a stable surface. The ideal location for the solar shower is sunny. The more direct sunlight that hits the shower, the more, faster and stronger it can heat the filled water.
When choosing a location for your solar shower, please note that the water used must run off - optimally directly into the canal. The solar showers from Steinbach all have a stable base. A solid and heavy bottom element with a non-slip surface can also be used as a mounting option for your solar shower. The floor element is made of high-quality and durable WPC (=Wood Plastic Composite) material and can be simply laid down - without drilling.
Cleaning the garden shower
Due to the self-decalcification function, the shower head of the solar shower cleans itself. However, the water in the tank should be consumed or drained daily to avoid the formation of legionella or other bacteria, as these find optimal reproduction conditions at high temperatures and in stagnant water. If you have not used the solar shower for 24 hours or longer, it must be rinsed for at least 2 minutes before the next use to completely replace the water in the solar tank.
Commercially available care products can be used to clean the solar shower. Solvent-based and abrasive cleaning agents and hard sponges, brushes or similar should be avoided.
Winterising the solar shower
Please note that the tank of the solar showers must be emptied after the bathing season in the winter months, otherwise the water will freeze and may cause damage. It is essential that the solar shower is dismantled during the cold season and stored properly in a frost-free dry place. Divisible solar showers save space when stored.
